CALLING TRANSITION YEAR STUDENTS –
BE SMART AND GET AHEAD THIS YEAR

We have just launched our French and NEW Irish programmes to Transition Yea students in Cork city.
As you know we run Irish oral courses for the past 5 years for Leaving Cert and 5th year students but we have decided to offer this new smart package to TY students. to help maximise their Transition year studies.
“We have been inundated with Facebook messages and tweets via our PetitTweetCork account from students begging us for help so we have decided to introduce these new options” said Natasha Lynch, the College’s Director. “There are so many students in Cork so overwhelmed with the amount of work in 5th year and Leaving Cert, we strongly advise students to get ahead start and enrol in a language programme during TY to make Leaving Cert more manageable. Whether it’s an oral course or a grind class or even help from a family friend, all of this takes the pressure off them in Leaving Cert. Through our TY courses we will equip students with the essential material to keep them on their toes and use their time wisely in TY. Each programme is one term long – so the smart student will choose 1 language for each term. As all classes are streamed it ensures that students will be comfortable yet challenged in a positive way regarding their language skills., said Natasha.
