Essential French Language College Ltd is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us relating to an enquiry. Our Enquiry Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share this information. This Privacy Policy applies to all contact made online, by phone or in person. On enrolment we will provide all parents with a more detailed Privacy Policy as we will require more personal data.

On enquiring about a programme, each parent / guardian must consent to allow us to use this personal information gathered on each child for the purpose that it is intended.


When a student or parent / guardian makes an enquiry about an Essential French programme, we will collect, process and use personal information so that we can deal with all aspects of each enquiry to the best of our ability.

The types of personal information we collect when we handle an enquiry includes :

  • Student name
  • Student date of birth
  • Student address
  • Student school and details of level of French / Irish
  • Student contact details (including email address and telephone/mobile number)
  • Contact details of parents

We use this personal information to deal with each enquiry, including processing personal details, sending additional information relating to the relevant programme, or contacting student / parent if more information is required.


We do not use our mailing list for any other purposes other than that stated above and information in relation to such data is not shared with any third party or organisation.

We maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures, policies and procedures designed to protect the personal information that you share with us and safeguard the privacy of such information. These include :

  • placing confidentiality requirements on our staff members and service providers;
  • destroying personal information if it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected;

 Storage of your personal information

We keep all personal information for the academic year that the enquiry is made. This is to ensure that parents/ guardians are kept up-to-date with any news or information we feel that may be of benefit to the student. We will ensure that all personal information is disposed of in a secure manner. In some circumstances we may store personal information for longer periods of time.

Right to access personal information

You have a right to request that we provide you with a copy of your personal information that we hold.

Right to rectify or erase personal information

You have a right to request that we rectify inaccurate personal information. We may seek to verify the accuracy of the personal information before rectifying it.

You can also request that we erase your personal information at any time by contacting our Data Privacy Officer.
